Entertainment Weekly gives High School Reunion a solid B

When High School Reunion first aired on The WB in 2003, exec producer Mike Fleiss (The Bachelor) stocked a Hawaii resort with Chicago-area alums celebrating 10 years postgraduation. Now he's resurrected the format for TV Land's older, nostalgic audience, assembling a Dallas suburb's class of '87 celebrating their 20th reunion. People over 35 are usually the sacrificial lambs of reality TV, so it's a shock to find an entire show packed with bald spots, potbellies, and high divorce stats.

TV LAND is bringing back  WB's High School Reunion (Posted November 18, 2006 at 2pm by Andy Dehnart) 

The WB is no more, nor is its reality series High School Reunion, which reunited people who used to go to high school together (even if, in some cases, they weren’t all members of the same graduating class). Its third and final season debuted two years ago this December.

Buried inside a TV Land press release from this week was a single paragraph that says the show is getting new life on the cable network. TV Land will debut a new season of the show (its fourth) next summer. There will be one-hour episodes, but it isn’t clear how many have been ordered.

The network says the show “finds former classmates and brings them back together 20 years later to pursue unresolved relationships, romance and rivalries.” The new season will be produced by Mike Fleiss and his production company, Next Entertainment.
